I really enjoyed the hotel. It was close to the surte, florida streetI and a short cab ride away from some fabulous restaurants. During my stay I was placed on the excutive floor, which might make a difference...I am not sure. My room was spacious and the bathroom was large. The club level breakfast was always busy so I went to the main breakfast area in the lobby. Although, when I would give them my name they kept telling me I could go upstairs to eat. Everyday I would have to tell them I would prefer to eat down here. It was a bit stuffy upstairs to be honest, if you know what I mean. The only complaint that I have is room service, it is VERY SLOW! I waited almost 2 hours for dinner...I was starving. I called twice (once after 1 hour and the other after 1 hour 15 min) and they kept saying...oh he left...he should be there shortly. I finally got it 1 hour and 40 minutes after calling. The workout facility is fabulous. There is alot of equipment and a full-time attendant that gives you a bottle of water and towel when you arrive. I saw him helping people who need help operating some of the weight machines. This hotel is very busy all the time with conferences and such so sometimes there are long waits to get into an elevator. No stairs that I know of, but I wasn't about to walk up 22 floors. Great Hotel, close to Florida shopping/walking street, nice room, very clean. Reasonable. Great ocation. much to my surprise everything went quite well. We arrived at the hotel on a Saturday at about 1:30 pm and were told our rooms would not be ready until about 3 pm. We decided to have lunch at the bar in the lobby and by the time we finished lunch our rooms were ready. I am a Starwood member and was using points for this stay but could not be placed on a member floor as I needed connecting rooms (travelling with children). I was told they only available connecting room was on the 4th floor and the view was not great but that was all they had as a convention was in town. Again, I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms and the view. The rooms were quite big (they told us we needed to book 2 rooms as rooms could only accomodate 2 people). One room could easily have accomodated the four of us. My daughters loved the indoor and outdoor pools. The staff was friendly and service was good. Food could have been better but all you need to do is walk a few blocks and you have some fine restaurants. Across the street from the side entrance of the hotel is a great steak place (one of the best we tried - even my husband who is originally from Argentina agreed). All in all, I was pleased with my stay and would stay again especially if using Starwood points.
