ROOMS Rooms are modern in style and in very good condition using light colours throughout giving a bright and airy feel. ROOM FACILITIES Air conditioning, Television, Satellite television, Radio, Direct dial phone, Mini bar, Hairdryer, Voltage 220v 103 Rooms. The hotel has a small outdoor pool surrounded by greenery, which is unusual for a central Buenos Aires hotel. LOCATION The hotel is situated downtown close to Santa Fe Avenue and Florida Street with the new affluent Porto Madero area just 2 blocks away. DISTANCES 12 kms to the nearest airport (buenos aires), 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station (subte "c"), 1 km to the nearest station (retiro), 1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 2 km to the nearest fair site (colon) Fantastic Hotel, 100 meters from main street Florida fantastic staff... ask what the extra costs are is you upgrade for a suite (i.e. jacuzzi, 2 balconies, sitting room, meeting room, king size bed, fridge etc etc) I only had to pay about $ 20 USD extra ... This is one of the few times i wasn't sure what to expect from a hotel. there were no reviews or anything on this place. a travel agent reffered me to it. and what a pleasant surprise! a more than helpful staff, all speak english, great breakfast buffet included with room. Eggs and Suasages too!!! i had a spacious room, it had a kng and 2 singles. 2 tv's. iterenet access is excellent from the hotel. very high speed. this place is minutes from the San Martin Subway(Subte) staion. and 1// a block from the begining of Florida St. Walking distance to Puerto Madero, but taxi's are plentiful , so everything is close. you will not be dissapointed here. My daughter and I spent more than a week at the Elevage Hotel in the heart of Buenos Aires and couldn't have had a better welcome. The hotel was exceptional, the people in Buenos Aires were so warm and welcome - helpful in every way! We found it very economical to taxi everywhere we wanted to go. Even when the taxi drivers spoke little or no English, somehow they made themselves understood and offered so many helpful tips. We felt extremely safe even when walking to and from our hotel in the late evening and after late dinners and shows. There was an abundance of shopping at very reasonable pirces and without any pressure from the shop owners. Trying the local cuisine is a must -- even from the occasional street vendor. Local live theater (in Spanish) is not to be missed! I'll return as often as time and finances permit! I spent eight nights at the Elevage while on vacation. The location is perfect for visiting Buenos Aires. The staff is efficient and helpful. The rooms are clean, well maintained, and have quality bathroom amenities. The restaurant provides good service and decent food. There is an English themed bar with nightly entertainment. There is a well-maintained swimming pool area.
